AMERICAN MADE - BUILT FOR ANYTHING

The American Stout is one of the most versatile bikes in our lineup. With massive 27.5”x4.5” tire clearance, there’s not much you could throw in front of this bike that it couldn’t handle. Be it gnarly rock gardens, snowy single track, or a nice cruise down the beach, this bike feels right at home.

Made right here in the US using 100% 7075 aluminum tubing, this bike is built to last. We’re so confident in its performance that we offer a lifetime warranty on all of our frames. Buying domestically yields a number of other benefits. By supporting American made products, you’re supporting local jobs, local businesses, and a more ethical and sustainable manufacturing process.

As with all of the bikes in our lineup, the customization possibilities are pretty much endless. Seriously, we did the math and there’s 46,523,913,960,000,000,000,000 possible combinations. Good thing we have Ben here to keep all those straight!

Due to extreme demand, the ship date on a bike ordered today will be July.

The stout is all I expected and more

I’ve been kicking around the idea of getting a fat bike for years and 2020 was finally the time. I shopped around a few local shops that carried the names everyone knows and stumbled across Growler online. I’m fortunate enough to be local to Growler so I stopped in and checked out their offerings. I finally settled on the Stout NX. I’ve had it through a full winter now and I’m so impressed with how it handles on the trails. Of course if the snow is deep it is going to be nearly impossible to ride. But packed snow and ice is no problem for the Dillinger 5 studded tires I went with. I was a little worried about climbing with the extra weight but I’ve discovered climbing is actually easier than with my significantly lighter 29er. The downhills and technical bits of the trails are also much easier with the wider bars and wider tires. I’m not sure how much use the 29er is going to get this summer.
As far as dealing with Growler, they were great. Very responsive to any questions. They kept me updated with delays they experienced in sourcing parts. It really feels like when you deal with growler you’re not just a customer, you’re joining a team.

    Great fat bike

I am extremely happy with the bike and will be happier when I receive the fork that was supposed to be on it. Communication was always extraordinary prior to receiving the bike. I have made a couple of attempts to contact them post delivery however have not received a return email. Again, as to the product, it is 2nd to none! I could not be more pleased.

    Loving the new American Stout

Super happy with the new bike from Growler. All the color and decal options were awesome. Also like the fact that they are made in the USA! So far everything has been great for the first 200 miles!

    So far, so good

This is my first fat bike, and I ordered from Growler because they make an XXL frame and I was able to customize a bike which I received just three weeks later. It’s a little lighter than I thought it would be and it’s really fun to ride on trails. I’m looking forward to riding it in the snow.
